“ The moment you step inside The Royal Exchange, you're immediately swept up by its fancy, posh atmosphere. With those soaring ceilings, it honestly feels like you’ve walked into a theatre. My friend and I took the stairs up to the restaurant (got to earn your dinner somehow, right?) and were greeted by a stunning space that gave off serious royal vibes. We were seated right by the terrace, perfectly placed for a bit of people-watching both up and down. We decided to share the Iberico Bossam Tower for Two, which was an absolute feast. The highlight was the unforgettable braised pork belly in a rich doenjang broth. So flavourful it practically deserved a standing ovation. The white and red endive added a lovely crunch, and the oyster with kimchi brought just the right amount of punch. Next came the Lobster with Noodles. It looked beautiful and tasted delicate. Maybe a touch too delicate for our liking, but still a lovely dish. To round it all off, we ordered two desserts that were sweet, refreshing and a perfect ending to the meal. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. Our server Rebecca was absolutely impeccable — warm, attentive and genuinely lovely. Highly recommended. Go on, treat yourself. ”

“ I went in for lunch and I had the Steak Tartare for a starter and the BBQ duck for main. Both were amazing. The Tartare was on the spicy side, for me, but was very tasty. The duck was fantastic. A little bit pink over a smouldering ember. The different sauces that came with it were fun but the duck on its own was delicious. The service was on the leisurely side but very welcoming and friendly. I would 100% go back but I would like to try dinner. Absolutely recommended. ”

“ I had been anticipating my visit to Jang Restaurant at Royal Exchange and it was an absolute delight to dine there and experience such warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the gracious welcome and the expert knowledge of every team member we encountered. The entire evening was truly sublime, from beginning to end. A special mention must go to the whole Culinary and Front of House teams, who delivered outstanding food and drink service throughout the evening, notably Brayan, Neda, Rebecca and Nicoletta. Their excellence and attention to detail were impeccable. The food was exquisite, and the cocktails were equally delightful, all elevated by the first-class service provided by the entire team. “ A Culinary Masterpiece! Absolutely exceptional dining experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was elegant and inviting, with a perfect blend of modern sophistication and traditional Korean charm. The staff were incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel truly special throughout the evening. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavors. The Hamachi tartare was so delicate and full of flavour. The beef tartare so perfectly seasoned in Korean style. Not to mention that the freshness of the Sushi! The fish was just so fresh that would melt like butter and the chef’s attention to details & high-quality ingredients can be noticed at first bite - truly sets this restaurant apart. As of the main courses we tried their Turbot, the Iberico Bossam Tower and the Korean BBQ. 10/10 all of them. An explosion of flavours we are so happy to have tried. The wine pairings were also expertly curated, enhancing the overall experience. They also have a selection of traditional Soju. Also, did I mention THE VIEW? Just wow, go and have a look, just so beautiful inside the Royal Exchange! Overall, it was such a culinary journey we won’t forget, and I cannot recommend this restaurant enough for anyone looking for an unforgettable fine dining experience. “ We went for a birthday dinner for a friend. Service was really lovely. Sam was so kind and attentive. She took really god care of us. Rebecca was also really lovely, helpful and answering every question we had. Food was excellent. I didn’t think my favourite dish would be the fried tofu. We had the set menu ani definitely recommend it. Portions were really good and the price was really good as well. Upon arrival we received a glass of champagne since it was my friend’s birdbath and that was really thoughtful. All together we had a fabulous dinner in the gorgeous restaurant with brilliant servers. Really hope to make it back soon. ”
“ Had one of the best meat dishes at Jang, for my wedding anniversary. Saw them through Jolly's YouTube channel a while back. And since it was a splurge-worthy day, this restaurant had to be it. I got the Jang Feast K-BBQ set (not exactly what you think a K-BBQ might be with all the smoke, smell and oil splatters) but a gorgeous display of the freshest and tastiest cuts of duck, lamb and beef served on a dainty charcoal grill. I'd say this was enough to feed three! Each cut tasted exactly like what the animal was bred to taste like -- really clean, tender and full of natural umami and flavour. Even though I knew it might be a wee bit too much food for two, I couldn't resist ordering the starter portion of Korean fried chicken and one of the tastiest kimchis served with oysters in an oyster shell. Appreciated the personalised message on the kkwabaegi plate too. That salted caramel ice cream was more bitter than sweet which I was won over by. Definitely would go back again to try their lobster kalgyuksu. Speaking of which, they're starting a new noodle bar concept for lunch crowds! And shoutout to our really nice server, Neda, whom we chatted too quite a bit! ”
